Suggested scripture for prayer from Dignity House supporters
(From Minister Laeler P.)
This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it! I just want to share some nourishment for our souls this beautiful day! Some food we can feast on as we go through our day! When you experience anxiety, read and meditate on Philippians 4:6-8 - Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplications with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus! Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
We must continually saturate ourselves with the word of God so that we can continually renew our minds!
We must watch what comes into our eye gate, and ear gate.
Do not watch and listen too much about he news everyday! If you do, be selective as tow hat and how much you are digesting.
Put on some worship music, get in the Words, and sometimes just find a good movie or something you enjoy doing! We must continue to encourage and lift one another up daily. No one is perfect and we are mostly trying to do the best that we know how! THIS IS GOOD! God is faithful! One of His names is JEHOVAH SHALOM, THE GOD OF PEACE!

"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal" (1 Corinthians 13)
(From Brother Steven M.)
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14)
(From Brother Joseph B.)
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6)
(From Brother Howard C.)
"If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you--you of little faith?
So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own" (Matthew 6:30-34)
(from Sister Deborah J.)
"The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.
Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
they will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.
Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory? The lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty -- he is the King of glory" (Psalm 24).

Before we ask you for anything, we express our love and adoration for you. You are mighty and majestic. Please forgive us for any sins, and let us use them for your glory since they show us that we need you in our lives. Bless our spirit selves, our families, our communities, and our nations. We are grateful for what you've done, and for what you'll do. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
